Description

  • Build and manage the AI organization while contributing hands-on technical work.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class AI team.
  • Design and develop intelligence layers that enable autonomous correction and decision-making in manufacturing systems.
  • Integrate physics-based models, machine telemetry, sensor data, CNC programs, and manufacturing context into AI systems.
  • Build AI systems that interpret machining intent from G-code and account for operator and CAM variability.
  • Develop feedback loops that combine AI reasoning with physics-based models and sensor data to improve performance over time.
  • Create scalable data infrastructure to capture manufacturing intelligence across machines, parts, tools, materials, and production environments.
  • Define simulation and validation environments for training, testing, and scaling autonomous correction models.
  • Contribute to company strategy, technology roadmaps, business roadmaps, and project plans with functional leaders.
  • Write code, review architecture, and build prototypes alongside the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in AI, software engineering, machine learning architecture, robotics, intelligent systems, or complex technical platforms.
  • Proven experience building and managing an AI organization while remaining hands-on with technical work.
  • Direct experience with robotics, autonomous systems, industrial systems, physics-informed machine learning, reinforcement learning, control systems, simulation, digital twins, or real-world telemetry.
  • Deep experience designing and building production-grade AI, ML, data, or software infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Exceptional hands-on coding skills and experience with data pipelines, model orchestration, validation, feedback loops, and messy real-world data.
  • Strong, up-to-date understanding of optimization, statistical modeling, and system-level AI design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Master’s or PhD in a related field is preferred.
  • Startup experience plus experience scaling product-focused AI teams at a major AI organization is preferred.
  • A track record of turning ambiguous, unsolved technical problems into reliable, working systems is preferred.
