Description

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Pharma Sales Executives to achieve commercial and sales growth objectives.
  • Build and execute territory strategies with financial targets, performance objectives, and milestones for each sales executive.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important customers and establish the company as a priority vendor.
  • Adjust sales strategy based on local market factors and shifts in the business environment.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Technical Field Sales, Field Application Scientists, and cross-regional pharma teams to create opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Ensure account planning, account mapping, forecasting, and CRM usage are completed accurately and consistently.
  • Coordinate with EMEA counterparts to align strategy for multi-location global accounts.
  • Navigate customer purchasing processes and manage orders through to close.
  • Represent the company in the field with a strong focus on in-person customer engagement and team coaching.

Requirements

  • B.S. in life science, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven successful sales management experience in life science or diagnostics marketing to pharma/biotech customers.
  • At least 5 years of senior-level sales experience in NGS or diagnostics.
  • Experience selling products as they transition from R&D to clinical is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn highly technical concepts and explain them clearly to others.
  • Willingness to travel 75%.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM databases.
  • Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to solve problems and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Candidates can be based anywhere in the US.
  • Must be open to heavy travel.

  • Base salary range of $218,900 to $296,100 USD.
  • Eligible for equity grants.
