Description

  • Engineer the internals of Zyte’s custom browser to defeat fingerprinting and antibot detection.
  • Extend stealth capabilities across new browser engines and mobile profiles.
  • Build and maintain an automation client to run and control the browser at scale.
  • Create introspection and tracing tools to speed up ban investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Harden the release pipeline to prevent silent drops in success rates from browser updates.
  • Improve browser performance to keep pace with leading headless and cloud browser platforms.
  • Shape the team’s technical roadmap and contribute to open source browser development.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in C++ and TypeScript.
  • Prior contributions to an open source browser project such as Chromium, WebKit, or Firefox.
  • Strong understanding of Web APIs such as canvas, audio, WebGL, and WebRTC.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems, emulation, and virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and SOCKS protocols.
  • Understanding of containerization concepts, including Docker, containerd, runc, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Rust.
  • Experience building and deploying production applications.
  • Understanding of browser fingerprinting approaches.
  • Core committer experience on a major browser project (bonus).
  • Familiarity with Puppeteer, Playwright, and the Chrome DevTools Protocol (bonus).
  • Experience building or replacing a CDP-based automation client (bonus).
  • WebAssembly knowledge (bonus).
  • Experience with mobile browser stacks and mobile device/browser profiles (bonus).
  • Experience developing tools such as QEMU, WSL, Wine, or VirtualBox (bonus).
