Description

  • Define and own project success criteria and lead problem elucidation with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce business analysis deliverables including user requirements specifications (URS), functional requirements, data and process maps, workflows, gap analyses, implementation roadmaps, evaluation methodologies, and questionnaires.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and define implementation strategies for informatics solutions (e.g., ELN, LIMS) and assess system/informatics/data landscapes to inform roadmaps.
  • Manage one or more large projects/programs including estimation, scheduling, risk management, milestone tracking, and status communication.
  • Serve as primary client point of contact to manage expectations on process, quality, schedule, and delivery, and to run strategic customer meetings.
  • Mentor and coach associates and analysts, support internal training programs, and guide professional development across project teams.
  • Track and monitor key project metrics, plan and track billable effort, manage utilization/productivity, support budget forecasting, and manage escalations and CAPA.
  • Support business development and thought leadership by assisting with proposals/RFP responses, contributing to case studies/presentations/white papers, and representing Zifo at industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, chemistry, chem/bioinformatics, etc.), Master’s preferred.
  • 5–7 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, or agritech.
  • Experience leading informatics solution projects such as ELN and LIMS implementations.
  • Familiarity with scientific workflows (e.g., bioanalysis, compound management, medicinal chemistry) and life-sciences data concepts relevant to operations and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to produce business analysis artifacts (URS, FRS, process maps, gap analyses) and to define implementation roadmaps.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to drive problem elucidation, influence internal and external stakeholders, and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project deliverables, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Desired attributes: proactive problem-solving, adaptability in fast-paced environments, willingness to develop leadership capabilities, ownership mindset, and ability to navigate ambiguity; travel up to 25%.
