Description

  • Design, build, and operate production-grade CI/CD pipelines for safe, concurrent, multiple-times-daily production releases.
  • Implement advanced deployment strategies such as canary releases, blue/green deployments, rolling updates, incremental rollouts, and feature flag-driven releases.
  • Build self-service deployment tooling with safety guardrails, automated rollback triggers, and compliance gates.
  • Establish deployment observability with real-time canary analysis, health scoring, and progressive delivery metrics.
  • Use GitLab CI/CD, Helm charts, and Terraform to keep deployments version-controlled, auditable, and reproducible.
  • Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs, including error budgets that balance speed and reliability.
  • Lead incident response, on-call rotations, runbook development, blameless postmortems, and incident command practices.
  • Design and implement observability systems for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting at scale.
  • Identify and reduce reliability risks through chaos engineering, load testing, capacity planning, and failure mode analysis.
  • Manage AWS, Kafka, networking, containerization, and data infrastructure to support production platforms and analytics workloads.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Expert-level Kubernetes experience, including cluster administration, Helm chart authoring, custom controllers/operators, network policies, RBAC, and AWS EKS multi-cluster management.
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD pipeline architecture and advanced deployment strategies at scale.
  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including module design, state management, and multi-environment orchestration.
  • Expert knowledge of Docker containerization, including multi-stage builds, security hardening, image optimization, and runtime management.
  • Production experience with Apache Kafka, including cluster management, topic design, consumer group strategies, and monitoring.
  • Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, API Gateway, load balancing, service mesh, VPC peering, and transit gateways.
  • Extensive AWS experience with EKS, EC2, SQS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and related services.
  • Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Honeycomb for dashboards, metrics, logging, and tracing.
  • Working familiarity with Node.js, React, Python, Java, and Ruby to understand build systems and runtime behavior.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments with knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, and compliance automation in MarTech or AdTech.
  • Proven ability to influence engineering culture and communicate complex technical strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD, including parent-child pipelines, dynamic environments, and security scanning integration.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty are preferred.
  • Experience with Statsig or similar feature flag and experimentation platforms is preferred.
  • Background in chaos engineering tools and practices such as Gremlin, Litmus, or Chaos Monkey is preferred.
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or platform-as-a-product organizations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps/SRE tools or active participation in the infrastructure community are preferred.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd is preferred.
