Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and resilient machine learning solutions for AdTech use cases.
  • Architect and evolve the end-to-end ML pipeline from data ingestion and training to real-time inference.
  • Define the technical roadmap and vision for AI/ML across the platform, including build-vs-buy decisions and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Develop intelligent systems using AI agents and agentic workflows to automate and optimize campaign processes.
  • Use LLMs and generative AI to support audience segmentation, dynamic bid adjustments, and creative asset generation.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to translate marketing objectives into ML-driven solutions.
  • Ensure ML systems integrate with the ad serving architecture and meet low-latency, high-throughput requirements.
  • Optimize algorithms and infrastructure for speed, scalability, monitoring, uptime, and production reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, code reviews, and model reviews to engineers and data scientists.
  • Champion engineering and ML best practices and continuous improvement across teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering or data science, including 3-5 years in a principal engineer or lead ML role.
  • Preferably experience in AdTech or MarTech.
  • Proven experience designing and building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems or data pipelines for large-scale applications.
  • Deep expertise in the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, RTB, SSPs, and ad exchanges.
  • Proficiency in Java, Go, and Python for building backend services and ML tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries, especially PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong experience with big data and streaming frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop.
  • Expertise with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for scalable ML deployment and data storage.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, and Redis.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing services at scale.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for explaining complex ML concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with LLMs and generative AI applied to advertising is preferred.
  • Experience designing agentic workflows for autonomous decision-making and real-time campaign optimization is preferred.
  • Experience with ML model serving and optimization for real-time inference applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Apache Iceberg and Apache Hudi is preferred.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns is preferred.
  • A track record of open-source contributions or conference speaking is preferred.
