Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s cloud management platform, support services, and customer needs.
  • Own communication with vendor teams for assigned accounts and surface growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer support escalations through to resolution while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close long-term commitments with key stakeholders while balancing customer, vendor, and company interests.
  • Identify new workload opportunities within customers’ cloud environments and SaaS solutions.
  • Maintain regular engagement across the customer portfolio, including both strategic and emerging accounts.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product and solution alignment.
  • Share customer feedback and requests with engineering teams to help prioritize active development work.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews covering project timelines, projected cloud spend, and service feedback.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities within customer cloud environments.
  • Work with cloud vendor sales representatives on mutual customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in account management supporting the UK market.
  • 3+ years of experience at a technology company.
  • Experience supporting customers in the AWS ecosystem.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German; additional languages are preferred.
  • Strong technical skills for working effectively with technical teams.
  • Ability to build influential relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong operational and administration skills with an analytical, detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to move between big-picture thinking and detailed execution.
  • Desire to grow within the organization and continuously broaden skill sets.
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader are desirable.
  • Experience in FinOps is desirable.
  • Frequent travel to Central London and regular physical presence at AWS London offices are required for this UK-based remote role.
