Description

  • Interview engineering teams to identify workflow pain points and prioritize platform improvements.
  • Design and implement reusable Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript patterns for reliable, high-performance services and interfaces.
  • Resolve systemic performance issues, including PostgreSQL query bottlenecks and Kafka messaging reliability.
  • Own and improve Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for automated, safe deployments.
  • Lead cross-team technical initiatives involving shared libraries, service communication, and architectural changes.
  • Refactor complex or legacy codebases into maintainable, testable modules.
  • Research and launch internal tools, libraries, and frameworks that improve CI/CD, local development, and observability.
  • Mentor engineers through coaching, documentation, workshops, code reviews, and technical guidance.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs across functions and align teams on solutions.
  • Drive improvements in deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, recovery time, latency, and developer velocity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leading teams and providing technical direction.
  • Experience working on Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience teams.
  • Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, including scaling Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
  • Hands-on experience managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including query optimization and schema design.
  • Strong Kafka experience with event-driven architecture and reliable messaging patterns.
  • Experience replacing complex legacy systems with scalable, maintainable architecture.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous technical problems into prioritized roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated mentorship skills and ability to build trust while raising engineering quality.
  • Preferred: AWS, Redshift, Terraform, Redis, Python, Celery, SQLAlchemy, and serverless computing experience.
  • Remote employees must travel to Orlando, Florida, at least twice annually and attend orientation there.
