Description

  • Design and ship multi-step agentic systems for onboarding, underwriting, case review, and continuous monitoring.
  • Architect agent workflows in LangGraph or similar frameworks with explicit state, durable execution, retries, and safe fallbacks.
  • Build the retrieval layer for agents, including chunking, hybrid search, reranking, and grounded citation.
  • Own the evaluation stack, including golden sets, offline regression suites, LLM-as-judge workflows, online A/B and shadow evaluations, and red-teaming.
  • Expose agents to production systems through well-typed tools and MCP servers.
  • Drive production MLOps, including deployment, versioning, traffic shaping, tracing, on-call playbooks, and cost and latency management.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to maintain SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and fair-lending requirements with auditability and explainability built in.
  • Mentor engineers on agent patterns, prompt hygiene, eval discipline, and LLM failure modes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building production LLM or agentic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern agent framework, with LangGraph strongly preferred.
  • Strong RAG fundamentals, including chunking, embeddings, hybrid retrieval, reranking, grounding, and knowing when RAG is not the right approach.
  • Real evaluation experience with golden sets, offline and online evaluations, and ship/no-ship decisions.
  • Production MLOps experience deploying LLM workloads under real latency, cost, and reliability constraints.
  • Strong Python skills and comfort with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Solid systems engineering instincts across APIs, async patterns, queues, databases, and distributed system failure modes.
  • Experience in fintech, lending, payments, KYB/KYC, fraud, or AML is preferred.
  • Experience building MCP servers or other structured tool interfaces for LLMs is preferred.
  • Background in classical ML such as ranking, scoring, or calibration is preferred.
  • Experience designing explainable and auditable AI workflows for regulated environments is preferred.
  • AWS depth across EKS, MSK, RDS, S3, and Lambda, plus Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions to agent frameworks, eval tooling, or retrieval libraries are preferred.
