Description

  • Answer incoming patient and referral calls, manage high call volumes, and provide professional, empathetic service.
  • Return voicemails and callbacks promptly and route calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Process and follow up on prior authorizations with insurance companies.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments and communicate coverage issues.
  • Assist with billing follow-ups, delayed claims, and coordination with the billing department.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments in the EHR while coordinating with clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EHR in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Support daily administrative tasks to improve office efficiency and reduce scheduling delays and billing backlogs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or similar patient-facing administrative environment is required.
  • Experience with insurance verification and prior authorization processes is required.
  • Experience working with electronic health record systems is required.
  • Experience with Tebra EHR is preferred but not required.
  • Medical billing or claims follow-up experience is preferred.
  • Clinical background such as RN, LPN, or Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
  • Must have a professional, friendly, confident, and empathetic phone manner.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must handle confidential patient information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop, stable high-speed internet of at least 25 Mbps, a noise-canceling headset, a working webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
  • Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.
  • Must be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM PDT.
  • Must be located in the Philippines or a preferred candidate location there.
