Description

  • Establish and maintain processes for intake, tracking, and prioritization of integration and partnership bugs and requests.
  • Investigate and debug integration issues across APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, synchronization flows, and web applications.
  • Collaborate directly with internal teams and external partner technical teams to resolve issues or coordinate handoffs.
  • Triage problems to the appropriate internal or external owners with clear reproduction steps and cross-system context.
  • Build internal tooling, diagnostics, dashboards, automation, playbooks, and runbooks to speed up issue investigation and resolution.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for partner-facing systems.
  • Support launches of new integrations, embedded deployments, and platform features.
  • Serve as a primary technical liaison for strategic partners and act as the voice of the partner ecosystem within engineering and product teams.
  • Identify systemic reliability risks and advocate for engineering improvements that strengthen the platform at ecosystem scale.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in QA engineering or software engineering.
  • Strong debugging skills across APIs, integrations, and web applications.
  • Experience programming, ideally in Ruby on Rails, to automate tasks and build internal tools.
  • Experience with SQL or ORMs, ideally Active Record, to work with data.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
  • Experience communicating with external technical stakeholders and handling cross-company coordination.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity across multiple systems you do not control.
  • Ability to analyze distributed failures across APIs, webhooks, queues, and data pipelines.
  • Experience reading third-party documentation and diagnosing integration mismatches.
  • Familiarity with SLAs, incident communication, and production or degraded-service communication.
  • Familiarity with Datadog for analyzing metrics is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting data synchronization or event-driven systems is a plus.
  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS integrations or developer platforms is a bonus.
