Description

  • Validate language codes and identify mixed-language content in HTML and PDF metadata.
  • Test translated content with native-language screen readers to assess accuracy, clarity, and natural phrasing.
  • Review hidden elements, tooltips, error messages, alt text, and UI labels for accessibility in Portuguese.
  • Evaluate captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and media controls for multilingual accessibility.
  • Document defects with WCAG or PDF/UA references, screenshots or recordings, and severity classifications.
  • Participate in review calls with the QA Lead as needed.
  • Work from provided scope documents, test checklists, and access credentials on a project basis.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese.
  • Hands-on experience testing digital content with assistive technology.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA and EN 301 549.
  • Ability to evaluate accessibility from a native-speaker usability perspective.
  • Reliable access to relevant devices and operating systems for testing in the target locale.
  • Strong written English communication skills for defect reporting and general communication (preferred).
  • Experience with PDF accessibility testing using PAC 3 or Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker (preferred).
  • Familiarity with internationalization, localization, and translation workflows (preferred).
  • Personal use of assistive technology (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or equivalent (preferred).
