Description

  • Direct voice performers through scripted scenarios and coach natural conversational delivery.
  • Create scene context and improvise dialogue or narrative transitions during live sessions.
  • Adapt scripts for natural phrasing, regional authenticity, and dialect accuracy.
  • Monitor mic technique, pacing, clarity, levels, and background noise in real time.
  • Manage session pacing and recording targets while documenting adjustments and retakes.
  • Maintain a supportive, low-pressure environment for performers with varied experience levels.

Requirements

  • Native fluency in the required language and dialect, with strong knowledge of colloquial phrasing.
  • Experience directing, coaching, or producing voice or audio talent, including voice direction, podcast production, dubbing/ADR, or theater direction.
  • Ability to provide clear, specific, actionable performance direction.
  • Working knowledge of recording and microphone techniques, including proximity, plosives, room noise, and levels.
  • Comfort with improvising and adapting scripted material during live sessions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with performers quickly.
  • Background in improv, theater direction, or acting coaching preferred.
  • Experience directing non-professional or first-time voice talent preferred.
  • Familiarity with DAWs such as Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or Reaper preferred.
  • Approximately 8 hours of calibration plus two supervised recording sessions of about 4 hours each per participant.
