Description

  • Validate language codes in HTML and PDF metadata and identify mixed-language content missing proper declarations.
  • Test localized content with native-language screen readers to verify translated text, hidden elements, tooltips, error messages, alt text, and UI labels.
  • Review captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and multimedia controls for accuracy, synchronization, and target-language clarity.
  • Log accessibility defects with WCAG/PDF-UA references, screenshots or recordings, and severity classifications.
  • Participate in review calls with the QA Lead as needed.
  • Work from a defined project scope, testing checklist, and access credentials for each assignment.
  • Assess content from a native-speaker accessibility perspective and report issues outside the defined scope when needed.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Chinese Simplified.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience testing digital content with assistive technology.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA and EN 301 549.
  • Ability to evaluate accessibility from a native-speaker usability perspective.
  • Reliable access to relevant devices and operating systems for target-locale testing.
  • Strong written communication skills in English for defect reporting and general communication (nice to have).
  • Experience with PDF accessibility testing using PAC 3 or Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with internationalization, localization, and translation workflows, including how accessibility can be affected during format conversion (nice to have).
  • Personal use of assistive technology (nice to have).
  • Relevant certifications such as CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or equivalent (requested in application).
