Description

  • Participate in the development of critical services across the ecosystem and pursue long-term, sustainable solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend services with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Build integrations with third-party APIs and tools.
  • Support existing systems by enhancing functionality, increasing scale, and adapting them to new product demands.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment with engineers and cross-functional partners.
  • Maintain and evolve the project’s technical vision.
  • Influence architecture decisions that affect the broader microservices ecosystem.
  • Mentor and support team members through one-on-ones, guidance, and skill development.
  • Combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering to deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience managing and mentoring multiple multidisciplinary software engineering teams.
  • Experience architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications.
  • Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services and collaborating with front-end teams on mocks, payloads, and HTTP best practices.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB, including common use cases and performance pitfalls.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, or C++; Golang is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for working with distributed, multicultural teams.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly in English to groups.
