Description

  • Participate in the development of critical backend services across the payments ecosystem.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Architect integrations with third-party partners to expand the platform’s capabilities and market reach.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and payment service providers to improve checkout conversion and account management.
  • Contribute to a new architecture and system set that ensures consistency across multiple services and domains.
  • Solve complex distributed systems challenges for a high-traffic platform with large-scale availability requirements.
  • Build long-term, sustainable solutions for key platform services.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment that emphasizes people, teamwork, and open communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in backend development is mandatory.
  • Experience with cloud and microservices architecture is mandatory.
  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring, as the main stack.
  • Experience with asynchronous processing and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, including event-driven architectures and serverless.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Software quality and test automation mindset.
  • Good communication skills and English proficiency.
  • Role is open only to candidates located in Brazil.
  • Remote work within Brazil.
  • Willingness to work on a platform handling approximately 5 million concurrent requests with 99.9% availability during feature deployment.
