Description

  • Collaborate with the team to deliver new features, analyze results, and iterate on improvements.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation, including ongoing customer support.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with strong reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you support.
  • Support and mentor teammates, and contribute to design discussions.
  • Work closely with customers and Grafana Cloud teams to deliver profiling solutions for cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Influence the product roadmap and contribute to personal career goals.
  • Use a remote-first collaboration model with strong independent execution and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with at least one programming language; Go is used, and familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar is helpful.
  • Experience delivering projects end-to-end, from gathering requirements and brainstorming to shipping a product.
  • Strong experience designing and developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering.
  • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
  • Experience with on-call responsibilities and operations/SRE tasks, or familiarity with infrastructure as code.
  • Solid experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote team.
  • Bonus: experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational or hobby environments.
  • Bonus: exposure to microservices architecture or backend database experience.
