Description

  • Design and ship AI-powered features end to end while owning quality, latency, and cost.
  • Build backend services and APIs that can handle real production load.
  • Instrument shipped systems, monitor metrics, and fix issues that arise.
  • Review code and system designs critically and challenge weak assumptions.
  • Help move prompt, retrieval, and agent changes from experimentation into production.
  • Collaborate across product, design, data science, and engineering teams.
  • Support a wellbeing-centered culture by encouraging healthy work practices and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Strong Python experience with a track record of shipping and operating production backends.
  • Solid AWS experience, including serverless services such as Lambda.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and Postgres.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and monitoring APIs in production.
  • Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and SQS.
  • Production observability experience with metrics, logs, traces, and alerts using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort with distributed systems and loosely scoped problems.
  • Experience working with Kotlin, Golang, or Java is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience with microservices is mandatory for this role.
  • Strong SQL and data pipeline experience, such as Airflow, is a bonus.
  • Experience with LLM-based systems in production, including evaluation, prompting, retrieval, and agentic workflows, is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot is a bonus.
