Description

  • Define and champion a 12–18 month platform technology vision and roadmap.
  • Author, review, and approve RFCs while aligning cross-functional teams on shared objectives.
  • Design privacy-compliant architectures for multi-region, multi-tenant environments.
  • Establish and enforce API governance, access controls, monitoring, detection, and response standards.
  • Lead system architecture for backward compatibility, phased migrations, data integrity, and eventual consistency.
  • Set and maintain SLOs, error budgets, capacity plans, and performance targets.
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortem reviews.
  • Drive cost-efficient technical decisions and operational standards while ensuring privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform high-impact code reviews and performance optimizations.
  • Mentor Senior and Staff engineers, lead design reviews, and raise engineering quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional backend development experience, excluding internships.
  • 7+ years of experience in Java/Kotlin/Spring-based service development.
  • 3+ years of architecture leadership experience.
  • Experience designing and operating web-scale microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Deep experience diagnosing mission-critical system failures and implementing preventive measures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to drive complex technical decisions across organizations.
  • Preferred experience designing and operating AuthN and AuthZ infrastructure and services.
  • Preferred experience with large-scale distributed systems handling global multi-region traffic.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, and Airflow for data pipelines and event processing.
  • Preferred experience building observability frameworks with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Preferred expertise in JVM performance tuning, large-scale cache/storage design, API schema versioning, and testing.
  • Preferred experience building platforms, frameworks, or SDKs adopted across multiple product teams.
