Description

  • Design, develop, and ship production applications, backend services, APIs, and internal tools.
  • Integrate frontier and pre-release AI model APIs with tool interfaces, evaluation frameworks, telemetry, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Develop across backend, frontend, databases, cloud infrastructure, and deployment environments.
  • Build testing frameworks and stress-test systems for performance, reliability, integration, and usability issues.
  • Diagnose model and technical failures and document findings for engineering and research teams.
  • Rapidly prototype working software from evolving requirements and limited specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture, code quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
  • Strong production expertise in Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++, plus meaningful experience in a second language or ecosystem.
  • Full-stack experience with backend services, APIs, React or equivalent frontend frameworks, databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and reliability.
  • Experience owning systems end to end, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, debugging, and improvement.
  • Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar architectures, repositories, environments, and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated career progression and increasing technical ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of testing, version control, code review, debugging, system design, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with AI/ML systems, LLM APIs, AI coding tools, or model evaluation workflows preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work full-time, 40 weekday hours per week.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $90–$110 per hour.
