Description

  • Own projects from problem definition through production deployment and ongoing support.
  • Build partner-facing APIs and batch pipelines for securities finance products and operations.
  • Develop systems supporting fully paid securities lending and hard-to-borrow short locates.
  • Improve existing systems for reliability, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Integrate with external market participants and launch new products and revenue lines.
  • Participate in on-call support and address recurring incidents at their root cause.
  • Develop expertise in securities lending, collateral, settlement, and short-selling regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building distributed systems running in production.
  • Proficiency with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science, networking, databases, distributed systems, and failure modes.
  • Ability to design and evaluate RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to independently scope, build, deploy, and support projects.
  • Strong ownership, judgment, attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to investigate unfamiliar topics.
  • Experience with securities clearing, settlement, or securities finance (preferred).
  • Experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Kafka or Redpanda, Grafana, Helm, Docker, or Temporal (preferred).
  • Familiarity with batch jobs, file-based integrations, reconciliation, broker-dealer operations, Reg SHO, or short-sale rules (preferred).
