Description

  • Provide solution design and implementation for client engagements.
  • Define solution scope and estimates for proposed work.
  • Engage with clients to understand strategic objectives and business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Work with clients and engagement leaders to create project plans and meet delivery expectations.
  • Architect and build scalable data solutions using big data technologies.
  • Identify solution gaps and coordinate timely resolution with clients.
  • Design and execute abstraction and integration patterns, including APIs, for complex distributed computing problems.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities such as proposal development, RFI/RFP responses, and solution shaping.
  • Mentor and coach a team of data engineers.
  • Contribute thought leadership through white papers, POVs, and speaking or event participation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a strategic or management consultant in a customer-facing role, or Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and implementing big data solutions with at least one real-time or stream processing system such as Kafka, Kafka Connect, Spark, Flink, or AWS Kinesis.
  • 3+ years of cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 3+ years of experience with at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, Talend, IBM DataStage, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
  • 3+ years of experience with at least one scripting language such as Java, Scala, Python, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience participating in at least two pre-sales activities such as proposal development, SOW creation, RFI/RFP responses, or oral presentations.
  • 25% domestic travel to client locations as needed.
  • Telecommuting is permitted.
  • Must have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
