Description

  • Own end-to-end architecture and scope for Azure delivery projects.
  • Lead solution design and technical direction for your primary domain.
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for consultants and engineers.
  • Guide implementation through design reviews, pull-request reviews, and practical architectural support.
  • Lead discovery and requirements sessions, clarifying scope, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate business needs into technical plans and explain complex topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Align multiple teams on shared outcomes, contracts, integration points, and delivery dependencies.
  • Mentor senior engineers and technical leads through pairing, feedback, and design reviews.
  • Support hiring activities through technical interviews and calibration discussions.
  • Partner with sales and account leaders on pursuits, client workshops, demos, and roadmap discussions.
  • Produce solution options, high-level designs, estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and risk documentation.
  • Create reusable assets such as runbooks, workshops, starter repositories, and templates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data governance or data management in a cloud environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure technologies.
  • Expertise in at least one major public cloud platform, with Azure strongly preferred.
  • Deep experience implementing one of the following: Profisee (MDM), Microsoft Purview, or Databricks Unity Catalog.
  • Familiarity with common enterprise data governance roles, operations, and processes.
  • Strong understanding of data platform and analytics ecosystems.
  • Experience with 2 or more data management areas, such as Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Data Science and ML, Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Quality Management.
  • Experience using AI-augmented development and integrating AI or machine learning capabilities through APIs, libraries, or cloud AI services.
  • Proven experience leading hybrid and remote teams across time zones.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, including backlog refinement and iteration planning.
  • Experience in consulting or professional services is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to be hands-on with implementation while also designing and communicating complex cloud architectures.
  • At least some familiarity with key cloud services such as messaging, compute, data, security, networking, and integration.
  • Willingness to continue learning and adopt new cloud technologies.
  • At this time, applicants must not require work visa sponsorship.
