Description

  • Assist in managing deployment pipelines to support smooth and efficient software releases.
  • Implement and maintain observability solutions to monitor system performance and reliability.
  • Support local development environments to improve developer workflows.
  • Work with development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with project requirements.
  • Contribute to infrastructure security by helping with proactive measures and audits.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to reduce downtime.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Proven software development experience, preferably from a venture-backed startup or top technology firm.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with tools such as GitLab.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud platform.
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience managing databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and tools for infrastructure and application security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to learning and adopting new technologies.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Willingness to work on Sundays as needed, with another day off that week.
