Description

  • Partner day-to-day with managers on people questions, team dynamics, and coaching needs.
  • Support employee relations cases with judgment on standard issues such as performance concerns, interpersonal friction, accommodations questions, and manager-team dynamics.
  • Coach managers and team members through difficult conversations and other people-related issues.
  • Own core people processes end to end, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and HR systems.
  • Build and maintain the People operations infrastructure and identify workflow automations and AI tools that improve efficiency.
  • Own internal communications for People programs, policy updates, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage the operational side of performance cycles, including setup, timelines, and completion tracking.
  • Create manager enablement resources and serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day people questions.
  • Own employee engagement programs, including survey administration, data analysis, and communicating insights that drive change.
  • Build and maintain people dashboards, trackers, and data summaries, and support recruiting coordination and candidate experience as needed.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, HRBP, or hybrid HRBP / People Ops role.
  • Sound judgment in employment law and employee relations fundamentals.
  • Comfort owning a People Ops tech stack.
  • Strong analytical skills with fluency in spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to build scalable documentation.
  • Hands-on, day-to-day experience using AI tools in HR work.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple employment models and regions.
  • Fast and iterative approach, with comfort shipping a v1 and improving it from there.
  • Empathetic and decisive decision-making style, with the ability to weigh tradeoffs and land on a call confidently.
  • Preferred background in gaming, social platforms, creator economy, or VR/AR.
  • Preferred track record of fostering belonging across a diverse, global workforce.
  • Preferred familiarity with VRChat or interest in social VR and how people connect.
