Description

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team responsible for patient financial navigation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, set priorities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development for team members and support department-wide training as needed.
  • Review team performance metrics regularly and use them to guide coaching and improvement efforts.
  • Manage escalated patient financial navigation issues with compassion and professionalism.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on reimbursement processes, payer requirements, insurance coverage, billing, and financial assistance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, customer service, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and streamline communication.
  • Analyze trends in patient financial concerns and contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial navigation workflows, patient satisfaction, and process efficiency.
  • Support process improvement, software implementation, and change management efforts related to financial navigation workflows.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with CRMs such as Salesforce and billing software such as Epic, XiFin, or Quadax.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans, benefits, and coverage verification processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong mentoring, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in patient financial navigation, healthcare billing, or insurance coordination preferred.

  • Base salary range of $80,000 to $89,000 USD.
