Description

  • Build and operate an internal AI platform for developer workflows such as code assistance, PR review support, test generation, documentation, and automation.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD, code quality, and repository toolchains and enable adoption through templates, examples, and self-service patterns.
  • Implement AI quality gates, including policy checks, confidence thresholds, regression tests, and secure-by-default configurations.
  • Design AI systems for regulated environments with logging, auditability, access controls, and data-handling guardrails for HIPAA/GxP work.
  • Maintain a FedRAMP-boundary-safe approach for Federal work by enforcing separation, evaluating compliant alternatives, and preventing prohibited tooling or data flows.
  • Partner with engineering leads and security/compliance teams to define internal standards for responsible AI use and acceptable-use guidance.
  • Build AI-assisted operations on top of observability signals, including anomaly detection, incident triage support, runbook automation, and self-healing patterns.
  • Measure adoption, cycle time, and incident metrics, then iterate and communicate progress to engineering leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevEx, or SRE/operations engineering.
  • Recent hands-on experience applying LLMs or AI to real workflows.
  • Experience building or productionizing AI-assisted developer tooling such as code review assistance, test generation, documentation, or workflow automation.
  • Experience building and operating automated or semi-automated agent workflows that execute scoped engineering tasks.
  • Experience building AI-assisted operations or observability capabilities such as anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, triage automation, or runbook automation.
  • Strong coding skills in Python plus one of Java or TypeScript.
  • Comfort operating in regulated environments and designing guardrails for HIPAA, GxP, FedRAMP, or similar contexts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align engineers, security/compliance, and leadership.
  • Preferred: Experience with FedRAMP boundaries and evaluating FedRAMP-authorized tooling alternatives.
  • Preferred: Experience integrating deeply with CI/CD and developer toolchains such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI, SonarQube, or CodeBuild.
  • Preferred: Prior platform or DevEx experience building internal products where engineers are the customers.
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated software domains such as clinical, federal, or financial.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AWS-native ops tooling such as CloudWatch or DevOps Guru and workflow/orchestration tools.
