Description

  • Configure customer accounts and customize backup policies and storage settings.
  • Lead customer onboarding by orienting stakeholders, walking through admin portals, and introducing support channels.
  • Identify migration opportunities and align product adoption with customer business outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments, build protection plans, and recommend software products and architectures across the Veeam Data Platform.
  • Run recovery simulations, apply the Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM), and deliver quarterly resilience reports.
  • Monitor customer signals to identify churn risk early and define mitigation plans.
  • Partner on renewal strategy by providing actionable technical insights and support for executive discussions.
  • Build business cases, define total cost of ownership (TCO), and articulate value propositions for expansion.
  • Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders with clear updates on risk, status, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, CS leadership, and marketing on campaigns, plays, pricing, commercial terms, and renewal terms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, such as Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, or Technical Account Manager.
  • This is a mid-level role.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery and resilience best practices.
  • Strong experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations.
  • Familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is a plus.
  • VMCE certification is required, though it may be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe.
  • Preferred industry certifications include AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement experience with CISO/CIO-level audiences.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
