Description

  • Own the technical vision, delivery excellence, and business development strategy for the enterprise Shopify Plus practice.
  • Define architectural patterns and best practices for enterprise Shopify Plus implementations, including headless and composable commerce.
  • Lead the design of end-to-end commerce ecosystems spanning Shopify Plus and adjacent enterprise systems such as ERP, search, CDP/CRM, PIM, OMS, and payment platforms.
  • Evaluate new Shopify capabilities and translate them into client-ready solutions and internal playbooks.
  • Oversee technical delivery across global, cross-functional teams and ensure quality, performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Establish governance frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and delivery KPIs for complex commerce engagements.
  • Act as a technical escalation point and unblock delivery teams when issues arise.
  • Build, retain, and develop a high-performing team of architects, engineers, and solution leads.
  • Own the technical narrative in sales pursuits, including discovery, solutioning, estimation, architecture design, and proposal development.
  • Partner with business development and account teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and deepen client relationships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership within a consulting, systems integration, or agency environment.
  • At least 3–4 years of experience specifically in Shopify Plus or a comparable enterprise commerce platform.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Shopify Plus, including Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, Markets Pro, B2B, headless/composable commerce, and the Shopify app ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of the enterprise commerce stack around Shopify Plus, including ERP integrations, enterprise search, CDPs, PIM, OMS, and payment platforms.
  • Proven experience leading or participating in sales pursuits, proposals, and client-facing solutioning conversations.
  • Experience building, leading, and growing distributed technical teams, including hiring, mentoring, and retaining senior talent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across executive, technical, and commercial audiences.
  • Shopify Partner Certification, Shopify Developer Certification, or Shopify Plus Certification is required or expected within 6 months of hire.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect, TOGAF, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
