Description

  • Lead the design, configuration, and development of enterprise Appian applications.
  • Deliver solutions from technical design and sprint planning through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, engineers, and consultants to shape practical technical solutions.
  • Engage directly with clients to discuss solution design, integration approaches, and delivery best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable enterprise applications aligned to Appian best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and help improve engineering quality across delivery teams.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, estimation, sprint planning, and demonstrations.
  • Perform technical reviews, unit testing, deployment management, and performance optimisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery through automation, reusable components, and emerging AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Appian solutions in complex client environments.
  • Strong experience building Appian applications using Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Sites, Reports, and CDTs.
  • Ability to manage a single Appian application through its full lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modelling, and enterprise data structures.
  • Experience designing and implementing integrations using Connected Systems, Web APIs, REST, SOAP, external services, and plug-ins where appropriate.
  • Experience identifying performance bottlenecks, applying caching strategies, and using the Appian Health Check report and process monitoring tab.
  • Experience implementing Appian security models and managing deployments, release pipelines, and production issue troubleshooting.
  • Experience producing technical design documentation, unit testing, and delivering against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of Appian development best practices and enterprise application design principles.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum delivery teams, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams.
  • Comfort working day-to-day within blended teams of client staff and third-party vendors.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and emerging Appian capabilities.
