Description

  • Source and develop new sales opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, inbound leads, trade shows, and other outreach channels.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of institutional prospects within an assigned territory.
  • Research territory opportunities and identify key decision-makers at universities and colleges.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations, product demos, webinars, and on-site meetings to secure new contracts.
  • Negotiate and close bulk purchase agreements and institutional sales.
  • Manage post-sale onboarding and support to help retain and grow existing university and college accounts.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care to process quotes and finalize sales contracts.
  • Partner with Marketing to share customer insights, maintain accurate customer data, and document market intelligence.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records of sales activities, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new revenue quotas while contributing to team improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting.
  • Proven track record of generating leads, converting prospects, and consistently exceeding new business quotas.
  • Experience in education or publishing sales preferred.
  • Strong experience in top-of-funnel pipeline generation, qualifying opportunities, and time management.
  • Prior use of UWorld products is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups and making cold calls to institutional customers.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a consultative approach to tailoring solutions.
  • Highly resilient, self-motivated, competitive, organized, and collaborative.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
