Description

  • Develop and ship web billing integrations, including payment providers, subscriptions, recurring billing, webhook handling, retries, idempotency, and reconciliation.
  • Develop and ship marketing integrations, including attribution platforms, server-side conversion and events APIs, and analytics and CRM/ESP pipelines.
  • Create technical designs for product epics and break them down into actionable tasks.
  • Participate in team rituals such as grooming, sprint planning, and estimations.
  • Run technical investigations and research, including third-party API limits, provider selection, and edge cases.
  • Address technical debt and improve the reliability and observability of integrations.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, code review, testing, release, and support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial backend development experience.
  • 2.5+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience with SOA or microservices, including inter-service communication and development processes.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and patterns such as SOLID and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including authentication, rate limits, retries, webhooks, and idempotency.
  • Experience with asynchronous processing or message queues such as BullMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
  • Experience working with a cloud provider such as AWS or GCP.
  • Understanding of scaling and high-load systems.
  • Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for development, refactoring, tests, and documentation.
  • Ability to write effective prompts and review and validate AI-generated code while maintaining quality and security ownership.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
  • Hands-on experience with web billing or payment integrations such as Stripe, Paddle, Solidgate, Recurly, Braintree, or PayPal is a plus.
  • Payments domain knowledge, including 3DS, PCI-DSS basics, chargebacks or fraud, dunning, and reconciliation, is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing or growth integrations such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Meta CAPI, Google or TikTok events APIs, or S2S postbacks is a plus.
  • Experience with analytics or event pipelines and CRM or ESP tools is a plus.
  • Experience with DDD, CQRS, or WebSockets such as ws or socket.io is a plus.
  • Understanding of how to integrate LLM APIs into product features is a plus.
