Description

  • Attain quarterly and annual revenue targets tied to the commission plan.
  • Deliver accurate and timely revenue forecasts for the territory.
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers across multiple organizational levels.
  • Create contingency and risk mitigation plans for the region as needed.
  • Develop and execute supply agreements to support new and existing business.
  • Collaborate with operations to minimize time to revenue.
  • Maintain the CRM database with current and accurate information.
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows and industry events.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, escalate competitor activity, and share customer feedback and new product ideas with internal partners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience selling life science reagents and solutions.
  • Proven track record of delivering quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Knowledge of synthetic biology products and markets preferred.
  • Experience with custom or made-to-order business preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred, especially selling to pharma, chemical, and/or Agbio organizations.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of synthetic biology applications using synthetic genes, pathways, and organisms.
  • Background in technical sales and support or product management preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, scientific problem-solving, and relationship management skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
