Description

  • Design and analyze A/B tests to support product decision-making.
  • Champion experimentation best practices, including power calculations, guardrail metrics, and multiple testing corrections.
  • Develop and apply causal inference and advanced experimentation methods to non-randomized questions.
  • Own the measurement framework for a product area, including metric definition and instrumentation.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses and deep dives to inform product decisions.
  • Build scalable datasets, metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for self-service use.
  • Translate analytical outputs into actionable product recommendations.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to define the right data questions.
  • Communicate analyses clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide rigorous, unbiased analysis and challenge unsupported hypotheses when needed.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a data science, analytics, or quantitative research role at a data-driven organization.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Experience with the full A/B testing process, from test design to results interpretation.
  • Some proficiency in Python for analysis, experimentation, and exploratory modeling.
  • A track record of using data insights to influence product or business decisions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define questions independently.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to upskill in advanced analytics methods.
  • Exposure to advanced statistical methods and causal inference techniques such as propensity scoring, synthetic controls, difference-in-differences, or Bayesian approaches (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with LLMs or NLP tooling for analytics use cases (nice to have).
  • Experience in travel or e-commerce, especially two-sided marketplace dynamics, geo-based demand variation, or supplier/consumer trade-offs (nice to have).
