Description

  • Ensure delivery readiness for new projects, including sales handoff, talent fulfillment, onboarding, and baseline governance setup.
  • Own project-level risk identification, assessment, mitigation tracking, and RAID log maintenance across the portfolio.
  • Evaluate delivery health weekly and maintain consistent internal and client-facing reporting cadences.
  • Manage project financials, including revenue, margin, forecasting, and value realization risk.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for complex project roadblocks and intervene before they affect client relationships.
  • Provide clear, data-driven status updates and escalations to Delivery Managers and the Account team.
  • Select and onboard Project Managers and ensure teams understand the Toptal Project Delivery Methodology.
  • Support embedded Project Managers to maintain day-to-day execution quality without direct authority.
  • Drive optimization opportunities in delivery reporting, governance setup, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Own portfolio-level delivery-health reviews and promote a proactive, no-surprises operating model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-project portfolios.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Experience coordinating across client and internal stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to connect portfolio financials, project execution, and business value realization into clear management reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources.
  • Strong facilitation and virtual collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and manage a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and contacts.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship or assistance is provided.
  • Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.
  • Ability to attend scheduled virtual team meetings on camera, work independently, use required digital collaboration tools, and self-manage workflows and deadlines.
