Description

  • Design, scope, and implement solutions using a mix of technologies.
  • Improve the quality, performance, usability, and scalability of the Voice AI product.
  • Collaborate closely with Design and Product stakeholders to help drive product-market fit.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities and turn them into shipped solutions.
  • Work across teams to ensure the product ecosystem functions seamlessly end to end.
  • Contribute to the core Voice AI stack and influence product and business strategy.
  • Run experiments, iterate quickly, and help shape the future direction of Voice AI at Toast.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications.
  • Proficiency with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, and Python.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap.
  • Experience building on AWS with tools such as Docker and Git.
  • Ability to turn high-fidelity UX designs from Figma into production-ready experiences.
  • Experience designing databases and architectures that scale and perform well.
  • Familiarity with AI-based tooling to improve development productivity and impact.
  • Proven experience implementing LLMs and AI inference for real-world applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based, agile environment.
  • Passion for building products that users enjoy and adopt.
  • Experience working on voice products, low-latency AI, or audio processing is preferred.

  • Competitive base salary range of $159,000-$254,000 USD in Zone A, $138,000-$221,000 USD in Zone B, or $125,000-$200,000 USD in Zone C.
