Description

  • Own solution architecture and lead design decisions for customer engagements.
  • Build and productionize end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.
  • Lead delivery of production-grade customer technical projects, including reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI integration.
  • Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and customers.
  • Guide customers on architecture and design to support adoption of Databricks.
  • Embed with customer teams and work with stakeholders from technical contributors to executives.
  • Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Customer Support to provide product feedback and resolve implementation issues.
  • Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that can be reused across accounts.
  • Train and support customers on technical implementation needs.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Strong coding ability in Python, Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying production end-to-end data architectures and applications.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflict across a broad stakeholder range.
  • Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies supporting Databricks-based solutions.

  • Base salary range of $182,000 to $250,208 USD.
