Description

  • Design and drive robust, scalable architectures and infrastructure for deploying and managing ML applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business needs into effective ML systems and applications.
  • Own core ML application capabilities, including pipelines, model training and deployment, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Lead the functional stream of work by providing technical expertise, facilitating team discussions, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Explore and implement new tools, frameworks, and offerings in the ML landscape.
  • Facilitate collaborative problem solving and mentor other engineers.
  • Contribute to the team's ML strategy and align technical capabilities with business objectives.
  • Identify challenges in ML systems and propose and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures for large-scale ML applications.
  • Experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML systems using tools such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, MLflow, Kubeflow, or PyTorch.
  • Experience applying MLOps principles and CI/CD to ML systems.
  • Experience in machine learning engineering and data science, with knowledge of ML concepts, algorithms, frameworks, and model lifecycles.
  • Experience designing and operating infrastructure for ML training and serving workloads, including on-premise and cloud environments, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks and related ML managed services.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt in ambiguous situations, manage risk and conflict, and coach or mentor others.
