Description

  • Act as the embedded point of contact between the Dataloop + Simulation team and one to two Autonomy teams.
  • Drive hands-on adoption of Torc Sim across partner teams.
  • Implement the end-to-end data flow from the data ops platform through the simulation environment to persistent storage at scale.
  • Onboard autonomy models to run replay and recompute workflows at scale and evaluate the resulting metrics.
  • Support adoption of visualization tooling and contribute UI/UX improvements to the development backlog.
  • Become a domain expert on partner models such as perception or behavior models and own related integrations.
  • Debug issues across data ingestion, simulation execution, storage, and metrics, and drive them to resolution.
  • Translate feedback from autonomy engineers into concrete product roadmap requirements.
  • Document workflows and onboard new users so adoption can scale beyond direct support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field plus 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Experience building or operating data pipelines at scale.
  • Experience working with simulation, replay, or model validation.
  • Familiarity with autonomy or robotics ML models such as perception, tracking, prediction, or planning.
  • Comfort working across cloud storage and compute.
  • Strong cross-team communication skills.
  • Bias toward hands-on problem solving.
  • Prior experience in a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or embedded platform role (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Camera, Lidar, Vehicle Intent, or Object Tracking models (preferred).
  • Experience with simulation or replay frameworks for autonomous vehicles or robotics (preferred).
  • Familiarity with visualization tooling such as Foxglove, OpenGL, or Three.js (preferred).
  • Experience with large sensor data formats like MCAP or Parquet and tools such as PyArrow, Daft, or Pandas (preferred).
  • Experience with distributed compute or orchestration frameworks such as Ray, Anyscale, or AWS HyperPods (preferred).
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and CI systems such as GitHub Actions (preferred).
