Description

  • Ensure timely and accurate entry and processing of gifts into the donor database, including online gifts, checks, stock, and wire transfers.
  • Manage the donor acknowledgment process by generating personalized thank-you letters and ensuring tax receipts are sent promptly and correctly.
  • Serve as a primary contact for donor inquiries by phone and email and provide accurate information about donations, tax receipts, and organizational questions.
  • Support the creation of specialized giving pages for institutional partnerships and key relationships.
  • Provide logistical support for fundraising events and campaigns, including mail merges, RSVP tracking, materials assembly, and vendor coordination.
  • Work with internal teams to collect impact measurements and narratives for donor communications.
  • Maintain accurate donor records through cleanup, updates, and deduplication in the CRM.
  • Support the creation of donor dossiers and profiles for the advancement team, executive team, and board.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential data with discretion and integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with others while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and a sense of belonging.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with gift entry and donor record management using a CRM or donor database such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or Blackbaud products.
  • Experience providing customer service in a professional, high-volume environment via phone and email.
  • Experience handling administrative tasks using G Suite or Microsoft Office, including mail merge functions.
  • Successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working within tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States, with no visa sponsorship available for this position.
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising operations or donor support systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting and audit best practices is preferred.
