Description

  • Develop and maintain product positioning and messaging across current and future product lines.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews with product managers, engineers, sales teams, and customers to stay current on capabilities, roadmap, and competition.
  • Translate technical product developments into marketing collateral such as website copy, one-pagers, brochures, sales decks, and data sheets.
  • Create case studies, use-case narratives, and customer success stories in collaboration with sales and customer-facing teams.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement materials, including competitive intelligence, objection-handling guides, and pitch support.
  • Support product launches with coordinated messaging across marketing channels.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, executive talking points, and award applications.
  • Coordinate co-marketing campaigns with technology and channel partners through webinars, co-branded content, and cross-promotional outreach.
  • Produce content for LinkedIn, email campaigns, the company blog, and the website, and manage website updates in Webflow.
  • Plan, manage, and host webinars end-to-end, including promotion, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Create and edit short-form video content for social media and support executive thought leadership content.
  • Support trade show and conference logistics, vendor coordination, brand standards, marketing operations, and campaign reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software or technology, including SaaS.
  • Ability to learn complex technical products and communicate them clearly to technical and business audiences.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high volumes of sharp, concise content.
  • Experience creating marketing collateral across web, email, slide decks, print, and video formats.
  • Comfort working autonomously and managing multiple product lines and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, webinar tools, and CMS platforms such as Webflow or WordPress.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create marketing assets independently.
  • Proficiency and willingness to adopt AI workflows such as ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Experience using PowerPoint to build polished sales and conference presentations.
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong written and spoken English with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Preferred: experience in solar, renewable energy, or energy technology.
  • Preferred: understanding of utility-scale project development or EPC workflows.
  • Preferred: experience as an early marketing hire at a startup or growth-stage company.
  • Preferred: video editing skills using Premiere or similar tools.
  • Preferred: experience managing paid digital advertising on Google Ads or LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Preferred: familiarity with LinkedIn organic content strategy and LinkedIn advertising.
  • Preferred: experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and GTM/prospecting tools such as Clay, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Preferred: comfort with light HTML/CSS for email templates and web content edits.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of SEO principles and analytics tools.
  • Remote location with some travel required to Berkeley and Sacramento offices and 4-6 domestic and international events per year.
