Description

  • Own the WordPress back end, including custom functionality, plugins, themes, gated content, form logic, and campaign infrastructure.
  • Manage WordPress, PHP, theme, plugin, and Elementor upgrades through a staged and tested release process.
  • Maintain local, staging, and production environments with version control and documented deployments.
  • Own site infrastructure and reliability, including monitoring, alerting, hosting, DNS, SSL, backups, disaster recovery, caching, CDN, database optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Lead website security practices, including hardening, vulnerability management, least-privilege access, MFA/SSO, and incident response.
  • Manage technical SEO, privacy compliance, accessibility remediation, crawlability, schema, sitemaps, and site-health monitoring.
  • Own GA4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot tracking, server-side tagging, and marketing-data accuracy.
  • Build and troubleshoot WordPress, HubSpot, and marketing-system integrations using APIs and webhooks.
  • Create architecture documentation, runbooks, QA standards, release checklists, and regression-testing processes.
  • Partner with front-end and marketing stakeholders on technical scoping, estimates, risks, and tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional back-end web development experience, including substantial WordPress experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, web development, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong PHP and MySQL skills, including WordPress APIs, hooks and filters, REST API, WP-CLI, and custom plugin debugging.
  • Working JavaScript knowledge for troubleshooting front-end and back-end interactions.
  • Experience with version-controlled staging-to-production workflows, change management, and rollback procedures.
  • Technical Elementor experience, including managing its performance and markup impact.
  • Demonstrated experience with website security, vulnerability management, backups, and incident response.
  • Experience with WP Engine or managed WordPress hosting, CDNs, caching layers, and DNS management.
  • Technical SEO, SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Google Tag Manager, consent management, and web privacy experience.
  • API integration experience, ideally with HubSpot or another marketing automation platform; B2B SaaS, demand generation, marketing operations, or revenue operations experience is preferred.
