Description

  • Design, build, and ship high-quality, responsive web applications using Next.js and modern JavaScript.
  • Translate rough designs, wireframes, and delivery requirements into usable, maintainable interfaces and components.
  • Build and maintain secure integrations across HR/payroll platforms, client databases, and internal tools.
  • Deploy, manage, and operate applications in Microsoft Azure using App Services, Storage Accounts, Entra ID, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write and maintain automated tests and participate constructively in code reviews.
  • Monitor production systems, investigate issues, and implement permanent root-cause fixes.
  • Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and internal stakeholders on technical decisions, estimates, and documentation.
  • Handle sensitive employee and payroll data in accordance with data privacy best practices.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial experience building and shipping production-grade Next.js and React applications.
  • Deep knowledge of Next.js routing, data fetching, and rendering strategies including SSR, SSG, and ISR.
  • Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript, asynchronous programming, API use, and TypeScript.
  • Experience creating maintainable CSS, responsive interfaces, and accessible web experiences.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST, GraphQL, and webhook integrations.
  • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and contributing to code reviews.
  • Secure development practices for environment variables, encryption, secrets, and sensitive employee and payroll data.
  • Exceptional written English, including the ability to document work and explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure, Jira and Confluence, Python, or HRIS, ATS, and payroll-system integrations is preferred.
