Description

  • Analyze data from multiple databases to drive optimization of quality outcomes, resource utilization, and risk adjustment.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance predictive models and custom algorithms applied to healthcare datasets.
  • Use predictive modeling to improve patient outcomes, patient experiences, risk adjustment opportunities, and other business outcomes.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, LLMs) to evaluate applicability for healthcare problems and operational workflows.
  • Create analytic datasets and perform statistical analyses using software/tools as requested.
  • Build queries and visualizations with third-party software tools to support analysis and stakeholder reporting.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement models, monitor outcomes, and operationalize analytical solutions.
  • Formulate novel, data-driven questions and drive new analyses to uncover insights and inform product improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, epidemiology, engineering, information science, computer science, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 5+ years experience in data analysis software with data science experience preferred.
  • 5+ years experience with Git/GitHub, Python, SQL, statistics, and ML modeling.
  • Hands-on experience writing Python code for machine learning, data science/engineering, and ETL pipelines.
  • Demonstrated track record applying AI/ML models to solve practical, real-world problems—ideally in healthcare or similar complex domains.
  • Proficiency writing SQL queries on large, complex datasets for analysis and analytics engineering.
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and data mining methods (e.g., hypothesis/A-B testing, distribution analysis, Bayesian estimation, linear/logistic regression, GLMs, text mining, time series).
  • Familiarity with traditional ML techniques and workflows (feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, clustering, Decision Trees/Random Forests/GBDT, deep learning).
  • Knowledge of ML implementation strategies (model evaluation in production, detecting data/covariate/concept drift, feature stores, model registries, deploying models as REST APIs, integrating models into products).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data analytics and excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team coordination.

  • Base salary range $110,500–$149,500 (final compensation based on geography and experience) with annual bonuses and an equity package.
