Description

  • Analyze data from multiple public and private sources to improve quality outcomes, resource utilization, and risk adjustment.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms for large and complex datasets.
  • Build and maintain predictive models that improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and business outcomes.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies for healthcare applications and workflow improvement.
  • Develop analytic datasets and use statistical software to analyze data as requested.
  • Use third-party software tools to create queries and visualizations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor results.
  • Drive new, data-driven analyses and answer novel business questions.
  • Support optimization of products across quality, risk, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, epidemiology, engineering, information science, computer science, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Hands-on experience writing Python code for machine learning, data science, engineering, and ETL pipelines.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis software, with data science experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience with GitHub/Git, Python, SQL, statistics, and ML modeling.
  • Track record of applying AI or ML models to solve real-world problems, ideally in healthcare or a similar complex domain.
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and data mining methods such as hypothesis testing, distribution analysis, Bayesian estimation, linear and logistic regression, GLMs, text mining, and time series analysis.
  • Knowledge of traditional machine learning techniques including feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, clustering, random forests, gradient boosted decision trees, and deep learning.
  • Knowledge of machine learning implementation strategies such as production evaluation, drift detection, feature stores, model registries, REST API deployment, and product integration.
  • Interest in current AI advancements, including generative AI, LLMs, and foundation models.
  • Demonstrated proficiency writing SQL queries on large, complex datasets for analytics engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team coordination.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience with Epic EMR data is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with healthcare financials or claims is preferred but not required.
