Description

  • Process supplier invoices, expense claims, credit notes, and reimbursements accurately and on time.
  • Match purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Liaise with procurement, receiving, and other internal teams to confirm goods or services received and obtain missing documentation.
  • Prepare and execute vendor payments on a regular schedule while capturing early payment discounts where possible.
  • Maintain vendor master data, reconcile statements, and respond to vendor queries professionally.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging, ensure payments are made within terms, and escalate overdue liabilities.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and close activities by providing AP balances, accruals, and reports.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by supplying documentation and supporting compliance requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with tax obligations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Support inventory, receipting, phone handling, and other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of Australian experience in accounts payable or general accounting in a medium to large enterprise environment, preferably across multiple sites.
  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver work in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems such as MYOB, Xero, SAP, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including accruals, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise diplomatically with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, and work under deadlines such as month-end and payment runs.
  • Comfort working in a growing, dynamic business with scale and variety.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear documentation.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and a flexible, adaptable approach to changing business needs.
  • Experience with supply chain or inventory-related AP support is preferred.
