Description

  • Review and approve provider leave requests while maintaining minimum service coverage.
  • Open, adjust, and optimize provider calendars based on demand forecasts.
  • Build and maintain state-by-state coverage matrices.
  • Proactively contact patients to reschedule appointments when providers are unavailable.
  • Move appointments to fill open capacity and reduce cancellation impact and idle provider time.
  • Analyze provider utilization by state to identify bottlenecks, demand surges, and coverage gaps.
  • Forecast when additional providers are needed and define hiring triggers based on utilization thresholds.
  • Partner with HR to launch recruitment processes when capacity needs increase.
  • Coordinate with credentialing and licensing teams to prioritize state license applications.
  • Build dashboards and operational reporting to support capacity planning and workforce strategy.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in operations, workforce planning, healthcare operations, or scheduling management.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking ability.
  • Comfortable interacting directly with patients.
  • Experience working in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to make decisions that balance human needs and business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal teams and patients.
  • Exceptional organizational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience in telehealth or multi-state operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with provider licensing processes is preferred.
  • Experience building dashboards or operational reporting is preferred.
