Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to understand customer challenges and articulate Sumo Logic’s value proposition, vision, and strategy.
  • Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge, technical credibility, and product expertise.
  • Orchestrate all phases of the sales cycle, including leading technical validations during the Proof of Value phase.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations of the Sumo Logic service.
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and pain points and design the right solution for their business needs.
  • Guide prospects and customers through trials and Proof of Values to demonstrate product fit and value.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to share customer insights and improve the product.
  • Build and maintain technical relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to developers and Site Reliability Engineers.

Requirements

  • Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal, is required.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; M.S. in a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer role with customer-facing or project leadership experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network/Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, and CASB.
  • Experience with open source collections such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, and OpenTelemetry is preferred.
  • Experience leading and running technical validations such as Proof of Value is preferred.
  • Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure; certification is preferred.
  • Broad understanding of technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage.
  • Understanding and experience with modern application architecture, including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda, is preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, and New Relic is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with business and technical acumen.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment; experience at a successful startup is preferred.
