Description

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of Account Executives focused on small and medium, high-growth, tech-forward businesses.
  • Work with senior leadership to define the team’s long-term vision and strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day operations with a focus on sales and growth performance metrics.
  • Be accountable for driving revenue growth at a high rate.
  • Coach the team in consultative and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Inspire and enable team members’ development and career growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to shape Stripe’s products and solutions around customer needs.
  • Build and maintain enduring customer relationships, including at the C-level.
  • Implement programs that improve pipeline generation and team efficiency.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with 2+ years of people management experience preferred.
  • Experience leading sales in an early-stage, high-growth technology environment.
  • Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team.
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic clients and industry thought leaders.
  • Demonstrated passion for SMB technology businesses.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business-relevant terms.
  • Prior experience at a growth-stage internet or software company (preferred).
  • Prior experience forecasting and managing a high-growth commercial business (preferred).
  • Prior experience running complex sales cycles, ideally with SMB-sized companies (preferred).
  • Prior experience leading a team in an office outside of company headquarters (preferred).
  • Prior experience in the payments industry and/or fintech (preferred).
