Description

  • Build a firm-wide feedback cadence that supports ongoing associate development.
  • Manage relationships with partners and firm leadership to align development efforts with business needs.
  • Create programs and touchpoints that strengthen associate belonging and community.
  • Design and manage learning and development programs grounded in adult learning theory.
  • Coach associates, address performance concerns, and support individual career development.
  • Analyze utilization and performance data to identify development or staffing gaps and drive corrective action.
  • Contribute to attorney talent acquisition and future programs that expand the firm’s attorney team.
  • Represent attorney development within the firm and influence leadership decisions about people and talent.

Requirements

  • Background in legal or attorney development, preferably within a law firm or legal technology environment.
  • Strong learning and development program design skills grounded in adult learning theory.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring professionals; people management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and when to escalate issues for review.
  • Ability to analyze utilization and performance data and use findings to recommend action.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Availability in an Americas time zone, ideally U.S. Eastern Time, with meaningful team overlap.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, resilience, directness, transparency, and comfort working in ambiguous situations.
  • Technology-savvy and AI-forward approach to work.
